Metal Eden Blasts Onto Consoles and PC with Cyberpunk Chaos
A new cyberpunk shooter has arrived to shake up the scene. Metal Eden officially launched on September 2, 2025, bringing high-speed combat and neon-lit destruction to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

In Metal Eden, players take control of Aska, an android tasked with retrieving memory-laden Cores scattered throughout Moebius, a massive floating city orbiting the planet Vulcan. The story blends cybernetic intrigue with explosive action, giving players the tools to turn every fight into a spectacle.

The combat system is where Metal Eden shines. Movement is fluid and vertical, with jetpacks, wall-running, and grappling mechanics encouraging aggressive momentum. Players can activate bullet time for stylish slow-motion shootouts, and Cores themselves double as versatile resources, functioning as either explosives or emergency healing boosts.

Early impressions highlight the game’s intensity and creativity. Reviewers praise the blend of acrobatics and firepower, drawing comparisons to Doom Eternal for its relentless pace and arena-like encounters. Some performance hiccups and narrative quirks have been noted, but fans of fast, over-the-top shooters are already calling it one of the year’s hidden gems.
